Nico

Nico is a six-year-old Lab with a playful streak, a love of water, and a serious thing for tennis balls. He first came to us as a young pup to explore a career in search and rescue—but these days, he’s more into fetch than job titles.

Now a little older and wiser, we’re getting to know the more seasoned version of Nico, and he’s reminding us that high-drive dogs might just hold the secret to staying young forever. He’s energetic, toy-obsessed, and thrives when given both physical and mental outlets. After he’s had a chance to burn off some steam, he’s happy to lounge with a chew or lean in for some well-earned affection (especially if it includes booty scratches).

Nico would do best in an experienced, adult-only home where structure, enrichment, and understanding are part of the daily routine. He may need a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, his silly, sweet personality shines through.
