Rachael Ray Rescue Brigade

Did you know the most promising search dog “pup-ils” are shelter dogs? The high-energy, toy-obsessed antics that often leave a dog homeless are the exact traits needed in a search dog.

At SDF, these top dogs are leading the pack in admissions and following in the paw prints of the hundreds of search dog graduates before them.

Now, you can help SDF recruit and train our next class of shelter dogs turned search dogs by joining The Rachael Ray Rescue Brigade.

Our goal is to raise $525,000 by August 31!

$525,000

The Rachael Ray Foundation™ has already donated $275,000 to launch this year’s project – more than half the amount! Help raise the remaining $250,000 by donating what you can today. Your dollars will enable SDF to:

  • Connect with shelter and breed rescue groups across the country to find, evaluate and transport more dogs than ever before to our National Training Center.
  • Train our canine recruits for a career in search and rescue.
  • Care for these special dogs throughout their entire lives. From providing daily care and food to funding medical treatments and wellness exams, SDF actively assures that all dogs in our family receive proper care and will never need to be rescued again.

You can join The Rachael Ray Rescue Brigade by making a life-saving gift to the Search Dog Foundation before August 31.

Together, we can provide shelter dogs with a second chance and assure that they always have a “fur-ever” home as part of our SDF family.

The Rachael Ray Foundation has been and continues to be one of our most generous supporters. The Foundation is funded by a portion of proceeds from each sale of Rachael’s pet food, Nutrish®. Through February 2021, more than $56 million dollars has been donated to animal charities and other organizations that do good for animals through The Rachael Ray Foundation and its predecessor entity.

We are thrilled that The Rachael Ray Rescue Brigade will shine a spotlight for the fifth consecutive year on this important part of our mission and excited for the fund’s ability to directly impact the number of homeless dogs that will be given a lifetime of care as part of our SDF family.
