Chief Robert Harris is a 28-year member of the Los Angeles County Fire Department and is currently the Technical Operation Chief, responsible for managing the fire department’s response to large scale disasters. Over the past four-and-a-half years Robert also served as the Program Manager of California Task Force 2 (CA-TF2), having the honor of responding to disasters within the United States as well as around the world as part of the international team, USA-2. When deployed, he was privileged to witness the life-saving work of SDF search dogs, and as an avid dog lover, Robert looks forward to supporting the SDF mission. Robert also has a passion for mentoring and assisting individuals seeking a career in the fire service and is the immediate past President of the Los Angeles County Stentorians – an organization that specializes in community outreach and service. He has served on the Stentorian Executive Board for over fifteen years in a variety of positions.
