Irmina Stroud is a strategic board director bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience across technology, SaaS, data, intellectual property, and AI-driven businesses. She has guided private equity–backed and public companies through growth, commercialization, and governance in highly regulated markets, and is recognized as a trusted advisor to boards navigating complex strategic and operational decisions.
Irmina grew up in Southern California and has lived in Colorado for more than 30 years. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Regis University and a Paralegal Studies degree from Saddleback College, with professional specialization in intellectual property law. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is a frequent speaker and contributor on topics at the intersection of growth strategy, AI, data governance, and board oversight.
Irmina’s public-company experience includes senior leadership roles at Clarivate, a global intelligence and analytics company, where she served as a Partner and CEO-aligned Executive Leadership Team member, and at LexisNexis, a global data, research, and intelligence company. In these roles, she advised boards and executive teams on commercial strategy, compliance, growth priorities, and mergers and acquisitions, while leading global teams across sales, partnerships, operations, and customer success.
In addition to her service with SDF, Irmina serves on the board of directors for Colorado-based Safe Harbor Lab Rescue, where she supports finance, governance, and strategic planning, as well as Legacy Capital, where she serves on their finance/audit, nominations and strategic planning committees. She is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and completed corporate governance education at The Wharton School.
A lifelong dog lover, Irmina has followed the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation’s work since witnessing search dogs in action after the events of September 11, 2001. Inspired by SDF’s mission to transform rescued dogs into highly trained rescuers in the aftermath of disasters, she brings a deep personal commitment to the organization’s work in service of first responders and communities in crisis. Irmina believes deeply in the bond between humans and dogs, and that some dogs are born to work, and SDF makes it possible for these dogs to fulfill a higher purpose in service to others alongside their handlers.
In her personal time, Irmina enjoys traveling, paddleboarding, hiking, and snowshoeing with her husband and her Labrador Retriever, Ruby.
