Dane came to SDF in 2018, as a Canine Care Specialist. With a background of working for many years in no-kill shelters, Dane saw first-hand the struggles that high-energy dogs faced searching for forever homes. Upon discovering SDF and the unique way they put these same dogs to work doing what they love most, Dane became aware of how important and vital search and rescue training is. After seeing the dogs work and thrive in the SDF environment it was clear that being part of this team would help make a difference. In 2020, Dane was able to transition his skillset and background in photography and videography to join our communications team as a Communications Associate.
