Julia joined the SDF team in 2021, after starting her career training zoo animals in Wisconsin. Julia transitioned to dog training when she relocated to California and has spent 15 years as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer working with pet dogs throughout the country, focusing on difficult-to-manage behavior problems and competition dog sports. When she moved back to California, Julia worked as a dog handler with agricultural disease detection dogs. While she loved her work with pet and sport dogs, Julia was inspired by SDF’s mission to join the team and become a part of the search.
