Lance joined the SDF team in August 2026, bringing more than a decade of professional dog training experience. His passion for working with dogs began at age 11 through volunteer work at local shelters and continued through his service in the U.S. Navy, where he trained Military Working Dogs. Throughout his career, Lance has trained service dogs for veterans with disabilities, handled explosive detection dogs at major sporting events, and rehabilitated rescue dogs with behavioral challenges. Lance is inspired by our mission to strengthen disaster response and excited to apply his extensive canine expertise in support of that work.
